Australian Athletics Championships 2018 Opens Registration
This Event Is Now Closed.

Welcome to the Athletics NSW online registration site for the Australian Athletics Championships, to be held at Carrara Stadium, Gold Coast QLD from Thursday 15th - Sunday 18th February 2018.

Registrations close at 9:00pm Sunday 28th January, 2018. A final team list will be posted on Monday 5th February, 2018.

Event Entry Fee:

The Athletics Australia event entry fee is $50.00 for first event, and $30.00 for every subsequent event.

Team Levy:

Based on feedback from the 2017 Australian Open Championships, Athletics NSW has secured the following services to be provided at the championships with a team levy of $30.00 per athlete:

  • 2 x team physiotherapists available for the duration of the championships, providing physiotherapy, sports massage and taping (athletes have unlimited access for all four days)
  • Access to recovery options (inc. compression boots)
  • Administration costs associated with these championships
  • A team manager to be present at the championships to assist with any event related enquiries

This levy has been introduced to allow us to provide the above listed services for all NSW athletes. Being the pinnacle event of athletics in Australia, we have looked to provide assistance in these areas to ensure athletes have the best possibly chance at success. If there are services additional to those listed above that you would like access to throughout the championships, please contact

Breakdown of Prices:

You will note that within this registration portal the 'Entry Type' fee is $52.20. This consists of the following:

$2.20 processing fee
$30.00 ANSW team levy
$20.00 AA entry fee (please remember all AA event entries are $50.00 for first event - so this is only a portion)

When you proceed through the registration process and reach the section to select events, you will see that all events are priced at $30.00. This completes the $50.00 required by AA for first events and is the correct price for all subsequent events. Unfortuantely the online system does not recognise subsequent events to alter price so this is the easiest process.

I.e. If you are competing in one event, the correct fee is $82.20, If you are competing in two events, the correct fee is $112.20 etc.

Please note that in order to be eligible to compete at the 2018 Australian Open Championships you must:

  • Have competed at least once in a competition sanctioned and conducted by a member association (unless an exemption has been granted)

Entry standards must be achieved at a National Permit Meet, or International Permit Meet. Entry standards can be referenced by clicking here.

Please carefully note the following in completing your nomination:
